Spotted on Atty. Karen Jimeno's Instagram was Transportation Secretary Art Tugade eating a broiled scorpion in Beijing. Jimeno is the country's Transporation undersecretary for Legal Affairs.
Some reacted to this Instagram post and jokingly said that Tugade eating a scorpion seemed like a sign of frustration over trying to solve the traffic problems of key urban centers across the country.
The Philippines' transportation situation continues to be a major problem as daily commutes take two to three hours one way to work at rush hour with still no sign of abating.
The Duterte administration promises to solve public transport woes but with the Christmas season fast approaching, it looks like things will become much worse before it improves.
Aaaw! Hang in there secretary Tugade, no need to despair!
