Sick of the Political Spinfest on the Killing of Kian Lloyd Delos Santos

What Lester Ople said about the political spins on the killing of Kian Lloyd Delos Santos struck me as right on:
‪There is no forced dichotomy between a demand for due process for all (and the wave of outrage over the death of a 17 year old at the hands of the police) and ensuring no drug addict commits a crime and inflicts harm on peaceful and productive citizens. Both can be addressed by good old fashioned police work ‬and community involvement.
But this drug war? It's not just a war between the state and the perceived drug elements- it's turning out into an ideological war between Dilaw and DDS.
Hindi pula't dilaw tunay na magkalaban. Kahirapan at kamangmangan ang dapat lutasin para masawata ang droga at korapsyon sa lipunan.

I am hoping that the person who said that "Kian could not have been that innocent" was being misquoted. The thing is, I work on the assumption that people are innocent until proven guilty by a court of law and unless this person actually knows something about Kian that hasn't been published in any news report, he had no business mouthing off his doubts thinking it would benefit his cult idol.

And please, enough of the attempts at deflection where the cult worshipper says they're shocked by Kian's death and then points out that the previous administration was worse.

What would have been the right call, as Lester pointed out, would have been to demand for a speedy investigation into the killing of Kian -- because that is what due process dictates.
